hand in hand with the health and safety measure. REMI ensures there is no harm caused to the environment at any stage of
product development. Creating Awareness for Voluntary Blood Donation
Annually, India requires 12 million units of blood whereas only 7.5million unit is accumulated.
Being the industry leader in manufacturing of Blood Banking & Laboratory Instruments since 50
years, REMI has taken several responsible initiatives at the national level. Every year on 14th
June- Blood Donor Day, REMI in collaboration with 250 blood banks organises awareness
programs for voluntary blood donation and also educates the common people about the
significance of blood donation. There are several activities involved in the voluntary blood
donation campaign:
• Distributing promotional stuff for reinforcing the message of voluntary blood donation. These materials include posters, key chains imprinted with encouraging slogans on voluntary blood donation.
• This time the campaign is focusing on the youth to voluntarily donate blood. In co-operation with various blood banks across
the country, REMI has distributed exclusively designed 12,500 caps embossed with appealing slogans on voluntary blood donation
• REMI in association with various blood banks contributes in workshops and voluntary blood donor camps with an aim of encouraging the voluntary blood donors.
CME’s/Seminars | Exclusively for Rural Blood Banks & Hospitals REMI organises CME’s seminars on regular basis by inviting experienced Transfusion Medicine
Specialists of leading government and private hospitals as speakers. This seminar is held in semi-
urban and rural areas with the focus of encouraging the use of
blood components. The speakers
also educate the audiences about the Quality Management systems & safe transfusion practices
for the Blood Banks. Basically, with the means of this seminar REMI is constantly trying to create
awareness for efficiently using this limited source.
Transfusion Connect | Informative Journal for Blood Banks REMI has published and circulated a quarterly informative journal ‘Transfusion Connect" for Blood
Banks across India. This sheet provides comprehensive information about the recent technological
developments and innovation in the Blood Banking segment
in India and around the world.
